Reef Ball Australia wins order for Melbourne, VIC
Fisheries Victoria will be creating satellite fishing reefs around some existing fishing jetties in Port Phillip Bay.

An excellent initiative and an example of how existing coastal structures can be enhanced to improve the recreational fishing experience. A first for Australia!

Don't forget...we can provide a range of different fish enhancement options for your coastal development including private jetties.

Reef Ball Australia wins Bahrain Contract
We are excited to be a part of a great initiative by the Bahrain Government to replace lost reef structure and help local fisheries.

4th reef now deployed, 6 to go and after only a few weeks in the water the reefs are reported by Reef Arabia to have literally 100,000's of fish swimming around them.

The project involves site selection, reef design, reef deployment (2,500 Reef Balls) and 12 months of monitoring.

Record Snapper Caught on VIC Reef Ball Reef
Ian Jones caught a 12.3kg snapper on 'Rec Reef' in late November, possibly a record for the year.

Ian commented that there were plenty of 5kg snapper on the reef, as well as large schools of baitfish.

Rec Reef is located 2km offshore from Aspendale in Port Phillip Bay, Victoria and is one of three recreational fishing reefs constructed by the Victorian Government. All three reefs are laid out in a geometric pattern covering 2,500m2 and using 96 Reef Balls each.

For details of the recreational fishing reefs, see the link below.
