Bahrain Reef Ball reefs have already attracted 43 species of fish in only 4 months! This is unheard of in Bahrain waters.

Reef Ball Australia provided the construction site setup and Reef Ball construction training for the Bahrain project that is building 10 reefs around Bahrain to help improve fish stocks.

In the News!
Reef Arabia to build a reef for the new Doha Port
Our partner company Reef Arabia in Bahrain has won the contract to supply and deploy over 600 different sized Reef Balls to create a productive reef as part of the new Doha Port and naval base mitigation plan.

An excellent initiative by the Qatari government to create long lasting assets for the country.

More Reef Balls for Brisbane (Morteon Bay Marine Park)
DERM took delivery of 96 Reef Balls in July and these were added to the existing Reef Balls off West Peel Island.

The West Peel Reef Balls are fishing well and we've been told it doesn't take long to reach bag limits.

Port Phillip Bay (Victoria) to gain satellite reefs around fishing piers
Fisheries Victoria has installed satellite fishing reefs around popular fishing jetties in Portarlington, Altona and Frankston.

An excellent initiative and an example of how existing coastal structures can be enhanced to improve the recreational fishing experience. A first for Australia!

Don't forget...we can provide a range of different fish enhancement options for your coastal development including private jetties.

Reef Ball Australia wins Bahrain Contract
We were proud to be a part of a great initiative by the Bahrain Government to replace lost reef structure and help local fisheries.

The project involved site selection, reef design, reef deployment (2,500 Reef Balls) and 12 months of monitoring.

Record Snapper Caught on VIC Reef Ball Reef
Ian Jones caught a 12.3kg snapper on 'Rec Reef' in late November, possibly a record for the year.

Ian commented that there were plenty of 5kg snapper on the reef, as well as large schools of baitfish.

Rec Reef is located 2km offshore from Aspendale in Port Phillip Bay, Victoria and is one of three recreational fishing reefs constructed by the Victorian Government. All three reefs are laid out in a geometric pattern covering 2,500m2 and using 96 Reef Balls each.

For details of the recreational fishing reefs, see the link below.
